Garrard 501 Evolution demo in in Vienna! When Terry and Roger were in Las Vegas for CES and the THE Show, Martina was touring Austria with the Garrard 501 Evolution, Origin Live Conqueror and the Lyra Titan cartridge. There will soon be a full write up about the trip describing why the Garrard501 was the center of attention where ever it was heard. We made new friends, performed with the famous M.A.C.E. elctronics by Michael Cech on various speakers designed and made by Joachim Gerhard. The new Garrard 501 Evolution was used with the Sonics Allegria speakers as well as Joachim's earlier active Caldera speakers with two subwoofers adding to the punch and drive of the system. The final demonstration on the Austrian tour was with one of the best pair of speakers ever made - the Cerubin 1998 by Joachim Gerhard und Bernd Theiß. These 90,000 Euro speakers were designed and built when Joachim was still with his old company. Micheal Cech now owns the sole right to built this speaker and the power amps (power amps 160kg, speakers 140kg each). Terry and Roger are back from CES and the THE Show in Las Vegas after a very successful visit. All the record cleaners were sold and there was great interest in our refurbished 401, the Archivist power supply and the the Missing Link phono stage. The 401 was a standard unmodified UK model running on 50 cycles and 230V provided by the Archivist power supply from the US mains. Even the strobe light was perfoming well.

Don't worry if you don't understand German; it says the Garrard501 Evolution turntable is an outstanding achievement which exceeds High End criterias. Martina was at the IFA 2006, Sept 1-6 in Berlin in the very large AUDIO showroom in Hall 16 where they had "Die teuerste Anlage der Welt". We were there with our Garrard 301 SME M2 Denon 103 with Klipsch Horn Speakers, etc - the sound was very impressive. Lots of people called to see us. Seeing was believing!
Terry, Marina and Nigel had a great time in Munich for the High End Show on 25-28 May, 2006. Our Garrard Turntables, Loricraft PRC3 MK2, PRC4 MK 2 , PRC4 De Luxe and New PRC6 Record Cleaning Machines were very well received and many new contacts and orders were made. Audio Magazine's demonstration of the Garrard301 in their room caught a lot of attention. They have just published a series of three articles showing the restoratation of a Garrard 301 by Loricraft Audio from purchase through to great laboratory test results .

Here are some photographs of the show provided by Acuhorn, Sonics, Image Hifi, Six Moons and Poland. This was the second year of our successful cooperation with Joachim Gerhard and his new speaker company Sonics. Some of the pictures show Audio Magazine's Listening Room demonstrations where they used the new and highly rated Sonics Arkadia speakers in a comparision of high end turntables like their Reference Garrard501 and restored Garrard 301.

The Garrard 301 was powered with the best power supply we have ever made for any historical Garrard, the new PSU Archivist - developed from the Reference mains regenerating 501 PSU developed for the Garrard501 turntable. If you own a Garrard 301, a Garrard 401 or a Thorens 124 you need this outstanding new power supply! By taking control of the turnable speed it reduces noise and improves performance. It could be your best update. Martina's first two demonstrations of the PSU Archivist in Germany resulted in sales. Terry and Martina were in Las Vegas from Jan 4 - 8, 2006 for CES and the The Show. Many thanks to all out customers and friends who visited us in the Smart Devices room in the St Tropez Hotel where we had our Garrard 501 turntables, and Professional Record Cleaning Machines, PRC3, PRC4 Deluxe and the first appearance of the Loricraft Studio model. Terry, Martina and Frank Schroeder are in Washington DC until Jan 16th, for their annual visit to Dr Kahn and all our East Coast customers - The Red Barrister, Nasa's Quadrupal Quad Specialist (now joined by Ijaz in principle) and the rest of the high end vinyl gang.

You will see that the show attendance was absolutely fantastic! We are again working with Frank Tschang of Accoustic Systems from France, this is one of the best accoustic treatments we came across with Fastaudio for our own demos since many shows, Frank is an accoustic physician, and attending his demos , which is great fun, teaches you something about how to deal with a listening rooms accoustic response. For his demo's we used the Garrard 501 Inspiration, a Lyra Titan on a Schroeder pickup arm, L'Art du Son treated Vinyl, Accoustic Systems wooden stands with CTC preamplifiers and an amazing ATC (British) affordable active monitors. On the slideshow you will see some of the impressions and the people I write about At some stage on Saturday the rumours about our performance made it across to the other exhibitors and so the staff from our competitors came to listen as well ....

We showed the full range of our products at the Munich High End Show (May 5-8 2005). Record cleaners, the PRC2, the PRC3 and the new top of the range PRC4, examples of our flagship Garrard501 turntables as well as some of the fully restored 301 and 401 turntables which are increasingly in demand, all over the world.

Terry and Roger had a great visit to the CES Show in Las Vegas where we met many old and new friends. It was gratifying to find that most people were aware of our PRC record cleaners and many people had already bought one. Our US distributor Norm Schneider has done a great job. The Garrard501 turntable also attracted a lot of attention, particularly in the FAL room where it it was playing through Frank Schroeder's arm into the fantastic FAL flat panel speakers. Here is the happy band - Mr Shibazaki, Mr Furuyama, Frank, Roger, Christoph and Terry - once the goods had eventually cleared customs in LA.

After the show we visited our friend Ijaz just outside Washington DC where we met up with old friends and customers. This annual trip gets bigger every year with some people travelling from Florida, Colorado, and New Jersey to be with us. We saw some impressive setups, but the best was probably Ijaz's Garrard501 turntable with Frank Schroeder's arm feeding the Sid Smith modified Marantz amplifier into the Quad electrostaic speakers. We heard stunning results with both the Lyra Olympus and the ZYX Universe cartridges. Here is the start of one of the late night listening sessions with Ijaz's system.

Excellent reviews in US, UK and German magazines have resulted in a big upsurge in orders from all over the world for our acclaimed Professional Record Cleaners (PCR3). Here is a recent one from an audiophile review on a Germany TV station. We have more than doubled production capacity to match the increasing demand for these fine machines and delivery times are coming down.
Over 300 PRCs have been sold in the last few months. As a customer in the US wrote recently, "my friends won't play their LPs now unless they have been Lori-cleaned". Have you Lori-cleaned your records? Here is yet another review!

Now we have successfully stepped up the PCR3 production to meet the demand, we have been able to build up a small stock of Garrard501s and we are selling 501s again. More customers are sending us their Garrard 301 and 401 turntable units a complete overhaul. We have a stock of rebuilt 301 and 401s for sale with plinths and pickups to be agreed with the customer.

Terry and Nigel have a new model, The Archivist Professional Phono Equaliser for playing old recordings.

Terry had a sucessfull visit to CES, in Las Vegas, Jan 8th - 11th, 2002. The Garrard501 was named Best Classic Turntable. Thanks to Mike Hobson, President of Classic Records, and Mr Kondo of Audionote Japan for their support and space to demonstrate the Garrard 501 and Missing Link phonostages. You can see the winning team relaxing after the end of show cleanup. Terry and Martina were again pleased to meet so many of our US customers. Some of you got a chance to meet me - Roger, the webmaster.

Terry, Nigel and Martina would like to thank all the enthusiastic customers who visited the Loricraft Stand at the HI-FI SHOW 2001 at the Novotel, Hammersmith, London, 13-16 September 2001. They exhibited the new Loricraft Missing Link Phono Stage and 150 watt Monoblock Amplifiers, successfully launched shown at High End 2001 Show in Frankfurt in June. They also showed the PSU45 (dedicated Garrard 301-401 power supply), PSU80 (power supply for turntables, CD players, phono stages and pre amps), and a new larger power supply shown for the first time.

The Loricraft PRC11 and PRC111 record cleaning machines were on display, and all were sold. The stand also had examples of the range of Garrard turntables, which comprises the world aclaimed 501, fully restored 301s and 401s mounted in plinths, and, for the first time, the new skeletal plinth, complete with a 301 and Rega RB230 arm rewired with Incogeto cable and base.

We also had a Schroder arm fitted to a 301 mounted on a skeltal plinth. Frank himself was there and answered a continuous stream of questions from visitors about the construction and audio quality of his acclaimed wooden arm with its simple and superb mounting.
